What are Playpoints?

Playpoints are the new universal currency at the heart of the Avalanche Battle Pass experience. Think of them as your key to unlocking a customized rewards journey. While you’ll still earn amazing direct rewards by leveling up your pass, Playpoints give you the power to choose. You can earn Playpoints by salvaging any unclaimed rewards from the pass that you don’t want. Once you've collected enough, take them to the brand-new AVAX Shop to purchase the specific game items, collectibles, and other exclusive rewards that matter most to you.

Collect or Salvage: Your Rewards, Your Choice

We believe you should be in control of your rewards. In Season 2, every time you level up and unlock a reward, you'll have a new choice: Collect or Salvage.

If you love the reward—like a rare in-game item or a unique collectible—simply Collect it, and it's yours! But if a reward isn’t your style or it's for a game you don't play, you can now Salvage it. When you salvage an item, you'll instantly receive a set amount of Playpoints, which you can then save up and spend in the AVAX Shop on items you find more valuable. This new system gives you complete flexibility and ensures that every level you earn brings you closer to a reward you'll be excited about.

What are Snowflakes?

Snowflakes are back for Season 2, acting as your ticket to the massive end-of-season prize pool with $25,000+ in prizes! You'll collect these bonus rewards from select items and tiers as you progress through the AVAX Pass. Each Snowflake you collect is automatically converted into an entry for our end-of-season prize pool raffle. The more Snowflakes you accumulate throughout the season, the better your chances are to win a share of the epic loot. Keep an eye out for rewards that grant Snowflakes to maximize your odds!
